Electronic charge controller R81 6V - as a replacement for mechanical controllers in 6V systems
Delivers 7.0 to 7.2V regulated voltage.
In principle, the controller can be used for all 6V alternators with negative ground (important! Battery minus ground) with a maximum output of 100W.
Dimensions of the controller:
Height: 22mm
Width: 40mm
Length component: 60 mm
Length of component with fastening: 90 mm
If the controller is too wide, the sides on the right and/or left can be removed if necessary.
Released e.g. for:
BMW, EMW R35
DKW, IFA, MZ RT125
IFA / MZ MZ BK 350
MZ motorcycles with 60W alternator
IWL Pitty & SR56 Berlin, Troll 1
2-stroke JAWA from 360
Motorcycles with original Noris MLZ e.g. Puch with Dynamo, Horex, Zündapp, ILO
Dnepr / Ural / M72 6 volts with regulator PP302
The regulator outputs the standard voltage of 7.4 volts for 6 volt systems. The regulator resistor MUST be removed! - for IFA/MZ* BK 350 and for some IFA/MZ* RT 125: The controller works for both minus and plus controlled dynamos (i.e. NOT plus mass!!!). Attention not suitable for all batteries! Unfortunately, there are some batteries on the market that, when used, cause the battery to boil. The cause is that the plates in the battery are too close, which results in a reduction in the internal resistance and thus an increase in the current flow. Attach the controller to the motorcycle. Although the controller has a plug contact for ground, it is advisable to make a good screw contact to ground, as the ground plug connection is not always reliable. If DF- and DF+ are mixed up, the regulator will NOT be destroyed, but the Lima will not supply any power. However, DF- and DF+ must under no circumstances be connected to each other. This will destroy the regulator immediately. The controller will also be destroyed if you connect it to a system where positive is ground or if you swap the other connections.
